6 Month Check-Up

Yesterday Raylee went to the doctor for her 6 month check up and shots (yes, she is almost 7 months. I'm a procrastinator, what can I say?!). Everything went pretty well, although she cried basically the entire time. She weighed 12 lb 13 oz and was 25 inches long. This puts her in the 5th percentile for weight and the 25th for height. Since she had gone down on the percentiles since her last check up I am supposed to give her a bottle after I nurse her (annoying!) to make sure she isn't still hungry and I also have to take her in again in a month to make sure she doesn't go down anymore. The doctor didn't seem to worried. He said that she might just be taking after me and will just be little. I guess I better start preparing her now for all the short jokes that will be coming her way! At least now I know why she can still fit into almost all of her 0-3 month clothes!

Easter

We had a great Easter this year even though it was just another day for Raylee. We all got to go to church together which hasn't happened since her blessing (I am so glad RSV season is over!). The Easter Bunny left Raylee a basket of fun stuff, and of course she liked the basket better than anything that was inside it.

After church we went to my parents house to celebrate Easter and my brother in laws birthday. This is Raylee with her cousins.

This is me, my sisters and my nieces showing off our blue robin egg lipstick, and if you have never used that candy for lipstick you are missing out!

Willow Park

Yesterday was Corey's day off, so we decided to go to Logan. I wanted to check the sock outlet for some tights for Raylee (if anyone knows where to get baby tights please let me know!), and Corey wanted to go to Fredrico's for a ham and cheese salad so off we went. After we finished our shopping we decided to stop at the little zoo at Willow Park. Raylee didn't really care, but it was still fun to walk around and see the animals. As you can see the animals did not cooperate very well for our pictures.

Piggy Tails

Raylee has now reached a major milestone, a fashion milestone that is. Today was her first time wearing piggy tails, and boy did she look cute! She has had enough hair for quite some time now, but I didn't want to put piggies in until she could sit up by herself (I thought that would make it a little easier). I had a little extra time this morning before I had to leave for my sister get together, so I decided today was the day. They turned out pretty crooked and she wouldn't let me redo them, but I still thought she looked adorable although they did make her look so much older. So here are some pics of Raylee and her piggies in her St. Patricks day shirt. Sorry about the wet shirt, she has been drooling a ton today.

Digital Scrapbooking

Every time I think about scrapbooking I get a sick feeling in my stomach, but I know that I have to do something with all those pictures that I keep taking! I have bought a bunch of supplies in an effort to help, and I have even gotten together with my sister and mom a bunch of times hoping to get a lot done, but everytime I work on my scrapbook nothing gets done. It takes me about 4 hours just to do one page which is overly ridiculous, very frustrating, and makes me never want to scrapbook again causing me to get further and further behind.

A little while ago I was introduced to digital scrapbooking and thought that it was definitely not for me. I thought it was too expensive to print the pages, and that it would be too hard to figure out. I have since changed my mind since I found out that I already had the program to do it on, and I found out you can print them off for pretty cheap at Costco, and you can get a ton of free downloads off of many different digi scrapbooking sites.

I have played around a little on photoshop and read a bunch of tutorials to help me figure this all out, and today I decided to start and finish my first layout no matter how long it took. I am very proud to say that I did it, although it took me forever. Hopefully I will get a lot faster as I go. They are pretty simple and I know that I will want to change a bunch of stuff, but I guess that is the beauty of digital scrapbooking.

Happiness is...

Every once in a while, I need a reminder of what an incredible amazing life I have. I tend to get into a depression (especially in the winter!) and forget all that I have been blessed with. These are a few things that make me happy, at least for today anyways! So for me, happiness is (in no particular order)......

pacifier and pacifier clip, what not to wear, nerds (the candy), RAYLEE, painted toe nails, microwave, prayer, a computer that is now fixed, naps, baby einstein activity center, COREY, pictures, MY FAM, good music, apple juice, cute hair bows, a glimmer of spring, chocolate, baby toys, yummy smelling shampoo, COREYs FAM, working from home, razors, make up, cameras, reality shows, THE CHURCH, my body pillow, friends

Our Crazy Life

As you can see, I decided to change my blog title and make it more cute. When I started I thought it would take an hour tops, but boy was I wrong! After hours and hours of work, lots of help from Corey, and a major headache, I am finally happy with the result. The title explains it all, and so from here on out all you will read about is OUR CRAZY LIFE!
